J. Poison) was moved in the House of Representatives yesterday. The. Hon. C, E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, said his promise that the Government would adopt the pleasure would be redeemed. U The Imperial Economic Committee has issued a voluminous survey of the ' cattle and beef industry. It says recent developments are encouraging efforts'On the part of cattle raisers in the. Southern Dominions and Southern Rhodesia, in the expectation that they will enjoy in future a. larger share of the chilled beef trade. -Successful experimental consignments already have been made, but before the trade can assume substantial proportions much remains to be done. Chief among the problems awaiting solution are more .rapid maturity, the grading up of stock, and efficient transport to abattoirs and from abattoirs to their final destination.
