VISIT TO CITY MARKETS
LORD AND LADY ELEDISLOE. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Indicative of the great personal interest the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe, take in almost every phase of life in the community was a surprise visit paid by them to the city markets yesterday morning. Lord Bledisloe was particularly interested in the grading, packing and general preparation of fruit and produce, and discussed the cultivation of certain varieties of vegetables common (o England and New Zealand. Their Excellencies conversed with several dealers, including some of the : Chinese fruiterers.
