Before a big house Jast night, a contest. for the light-heavyweight boxing championship of the Dominion between Ray Nieol (Olmi), holder, and Eddie Parker (Timaru), the challenger and former holder, resulted in a draw. The bout was not spectacular. Nieol appeared to have a comfortable margin at the finish, and the decision came as a surprise to a large section of tho audience.
