Quotations were on a par with late rates. Dairy cows, close to profit, made to £-1 2/(1; backward dairy cows, £1 17/(3 to £2 10/; daily heifers, to £1 17/(3; backward sorts, £.l 12/ to £2 5/; fat cows, to £3 10/; cows and calves, to £3. 7/; boner cows, 15/ to £1 2/; boner bulls, to £3 5/; yearling Jersey heifers, to £1 17/; weaner pigs, to 12/0; sows to farrow, £2 10/; full mouthed ewes to 12/; pedigree Jersey bull, l:i gns; pedigree Jersey cow on account of Mr E. V. Morrish 3gns Messrs Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., reporting on their usual mid-monthly sale state there was an average yarding of all classes of cattle but competition was slack and prices receded slightly on late rates. Vaines were: —Dairy cows, dose to profit, £2 5/; backward sorts, £1 12/ to £.l 15/; late cal vers, £1 5/ to £1 .10/; boner eows, to £1 7/; forward cows to £1 14/; Jersey calves, 1.1/0; small and inferior, 5/ Shorthorn bulls, £2 .7.7/ to £3 I/. A consignment, of baled hay sold well under the hammer at 4gns per ton.
