PROBABLY IN S. AFGHANISTAN GREAT INTENSITY (Received 1.1.30 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Jimp 14. An earthquake shock of great intensity, with its epicentre estimated to tie in South Afghanistan or Baluchistan, .was .recorded at various.. Indian.. observatories at 3.43 yesterday morning’. No news has been received from Afghanistan, but. it is feared that heavy damage was caused, as the tremors were felt at several places along the Indian frontier, where people •rushed panic-stricken from their, homes.
