Auckland stockbrokers have experienced an improvement in business since mid-week quietness, and steady trading has been done yesterday and today. Bank of New Zealand had eased further to roach their level of six weeks ago, and with the adjustment of values, ex dividend, buyers were at £2 8/0 and sellers at £2 10/. Sellers of Commercials were asking Kl/-L while best offers were 10/1. In insurance section, business has resumed below recent values, and 80111 h British were still available this morning at the price of sales, with buyers at £2 18/2. Ooldsbrough Worts have strengthened, following the announcement of a 0 per cent dividend, buyers having moved up to £2 11/n, with sellers 2d higher. Offeis of New Zealand Brewery shares were made at £2 2/9 this morning without bringing a response from buyers, and there was a slight easing tendency among industrials. Waihis figured again in the sale list after their recent quietness, and latest quotations, at £2 12/ii and £2 12/2, showed that buyers were not very keen.
