PRODUCTION RETURNS. Golden Sands (Barrytown).—73oz. 19 dwts. for 48 shifts of 8 hours each. Bell Hill (Ahauta). —A wash-up on March 30 yielded 3Soz. from 17 days’ sluicing, STRIKE AT ALEXANDER, Alexander Minos, Ltd, (Pcefton), reports that owing to the strike of employees, no work was carried out in the mine, during March. The staff was employed on the lower excavation for the powerhouse, and installing the machinery for working the rabblors and selffeeding apparatus for the new oreroasting furnace, MANAGER’S REPORT. Mataki (Murchison). —The dredge continues to work well, although the ground is very tight. It carries fair gold right across the cut, with the river portion showing a (greater percentage of gold than the flat. E. S. AND A. BANK INTERIM DIVIDEND. The directors of the English, Scottish and Australian Bank, Ltd., have declared an interim dividend unchanged at 2h per cent., free of British income tax.
