PURUA CELEBRATION. An enjoyable evening was epent in the Puma Hall last week, when. Miss Mean Hamlin, grand-daughter of Mr and Mrs J. T. Brown, celebrated her 21st -birthday. The decorated hall was packed with friends. The floor was in good order for dancing to excellent music, and extras were played by Mrs Carrington and Miss Lambert. Mr E. D. Finlayson. was M.C. After supper, Mr Finlayson called on the guest of the evening to cut the birthday cake. Mr Finlayson congratulated Miss Hamlin on attaining her majority, Mr A. Frood replying on her behalf.
During the evening, Mr Parker sang and responded to an encore. The Monte Carlo waltz was won' by Mies C. Yates and Mr P. Lindsay, and the spot waltz by Miss Lambert and Mr P. Lindsav.
