YOUNG MAN FINED

BOXING DAY SMASH.

GRAHAM STREET ACCIDENT,

An echo of the Boxing Day accident at the corner of Graham Street and Kamo Road, when one young man was severely injured, was heard in the Police Court this morning, when William Leonard Diusdale was charged with riding a motor cycle without a license on December 26, and with failing to give way to traffic. Mr R. K. Trimmer appeared for him and entered a plea of guilty. Sub-Inspector Powell said he was not seeking a heavy penalty, as the young man was lucky to be alive, and, had already suffered severely. Mr Trimmer pointed out that ,he was pleading guilty more out of necessity, than because his client felt he was guilty. Mr Morris convicted and discharged Diusdale on the chatge of failure to give way to traffic, and fined hitti 10/ and costs for riding the cycle without a license.
