The Oddfellows’ Lodge held a flag' 500 evening at the lodge rooms rer cently. An enjoyable evening’s fun j saw the" prizes go to Mrs Kay and Misses B. McGregor and - Cato - and JMessrs Cook,. .1. and I. McLean. The Rugby’ Football Club commences play on Saturday with a practice match in ,the Caledonian .Pari?* , The tennis trophy cups, competed for during the season, Were f won by Mr J. M. McKay and Miss B. McKay. Constable McLeod and family have taken up their residence in the dia- ; trict in place * of Constable -Leslie, _ who has been transferred ia,Whanga* rci, . . .
