At the beginning of the year juvenile employment in London was very severe, but the trade recovery produced a remarkable situation toward the end of the year. Each month many hundreds of vacancies in the West End and City of London remained unfilled. In December, when there were only 1(117 unemployed juv.eniles on the registers of the 22 London employment exchanges, more than 4000 vacancies were available. These vacancies were for juveniles of all ages.
