FAIR TURNOVER. (Special to “Northern. Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. Business on the Auckland Stock Exchange is scarcely as brisk as it has been lately yet a. fair turnover avu s recorded during the last 24 hours. Waihis have failed to retain the full extent of the recent sharp rise, and at this morning’s call a sale A\'as recorded at. 3(3/-, which is 1/- beloAV the peak figure realised on Tuesday. In the banking section, Noav South Wales were easier Avith sellers at £34 2/6. Commercials of Sydney Avere asked for with a buyer at £l7 10/-. Auckland Gas shares were a little firmer, and buyers hid £1 4/7 with holders steady at £1 5/-. Dominion Picture shares wore wanted and buyers for ordinaries moved up to 11/-, hut there were no sellers. The Noon Call. Following sales were recorded at the noon call: —.Auckland Gas (2), £1 4/5; Christchurch Gas, £1 8/9; Colonial Sugar, £64 10/.
