WHEAT PRODUCTION
WORLD STATISTICS. LONDON, March 20. The agricutluraP writer of the “Daily Telegraph” says official estimates of the 1933 world wheat crop place it at 1,888,000,000 cwt., excluding Russia, compared witli the original estimate of 1,859,000,000. The carryover probably will total 300,000,000 cwt. 'These figures mean a reduction of 30,000,000 cwt to 40,000,000 cwt. below 1932. The first official Russian estimate was 540,000,000 cwt. Sowings this year indicate a tendency toward reduction. The United States is 4 per cent down, and European 3 per cent.
