ANTIQUATED LOCK-UP
SEVERAL ESCAPES EFFECTED (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) PALMERSTON X., This Day. ' Following the escape of a prisoner from tbe police lock-up on Saturday evening, the Chamber of Commerce decided to draw the attention of the Department ef Justice to the condition of the lock-up, which members described.as ‘‘antiquated.” Although the present is not a time for large public expenditure, it was felt that the claim, for a more secure building should receive attention, as several escapes had occurred.
