Lea 'Weight the winner. (Received 9 a..m.) MELBOURNE, March 20. There was a thrilling finish to the 200 miles Grand Prix motor race at Phillip Island. The winner, R. Lea Wright, driving a. Singer off the limit (-35 minutes), covered the distance in 3 hours 12 minutes 9 seconds. W. Thomson, the runner-up (scratch), driving a. super-charged M.G. Magnetic, finished only 13 seconds later. His time was 2 hours 37 minutes 21 seconds, being a record for the course. Thomson Avon the prize for the fastest time. There-were 20 starters and several minor accidents occurred.
