SERVICE IN LONDON.

SIR J. PARR’S RECEPTION.

(Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, February 5

The Lord Mayor of London, Sir Charles Collett, and the sheriffs, drove in state to attend a special service at St. Lawrence, Jewry, London, in commemoration of New Zealand Da\. The rector, the Rev. Walter P. Beasley, preached. After the service, Admiral Sir Lionel Halsey unfurled a silk New Zealand flag presented to the church by New Zealand women in London. The High Commissioner for the Dominion, Sir James Parr, welcomed a number of guests at a. subsequent reception in the City Carlton Club.
