ASSAULT CHARGE
WOMAN ARRAIGNED. REMAND GRANTED. * (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) LEVIN, This Day. A married woman, Mrs Sybil Hansen, was removed to the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday suffering from severe wbunds on the head and body, said to have been caused by blows from a meat cleaver.
The police later took a woman into custody, and she was brought before the Court in the afternoon charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. She was remanded to appear on August 24. Her name was ordered to be suppressed.
The injured woman’s condition is reported to be satisfactory.
