“FAST UNTO DEATH”
ANOTHER GANDHI THREAT. made unnecessary. (Received 10 a.m.) CALCUTTA, August 10. Gandhi began a “fast unto death’ ’ in Yoravada gaol today, in connection with demands to bo allowed facilities for carrying on his “untouchable work in gaol, as when he was a prisoner before.” The Government acceded to the request and the fast was abandoned.
