In the ladies’ Saturday competition, Onerahi 5 (Mrs Goodwin 5), beat Hikurangi 2 (Mrs Carnac 2). PROVINCIAL HOCKEY. WHANGAREI PLAYERS CHOSEN. AUCKLAND LADIES’ TEAM. Four Whangarei lady hockey players have been chosen by the selectors of the Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association to represent the Auckland Province at the annual Dominion tournament .to be held at Daunevirkc on August 23. These are: Misses L. Bint,, E, Simons, F. Berrich and Mrs M. Carnac. The other players are Misses M. Dunning and E. Gubb (Rodney), J. Alley, N. Turner (Paeroa), M. Rossiter, V. Isaacs, M. Graham, A. Bishop, and D. Hyde (Auckland). CLUB MATCH DESIRED. A letter has been received' by the Whangarei Hockey Association from the secretary of the Papatoetoe Hockey Club, desiring that a ihatch be arranged at Whangarei with a Wha* ngarci club on September 16. The Papatoetoe team would be comprised of players from the second and fourth grade. The Whangarei Association is to consider the matter.
