NO HOPE OF DEVELOPMENT. PASTORALTST’S OPINION. (Received 9 a.m.) ■SYDNEY, July Ifi. A message from Mr W. Oliver, a pastoralist with wide knowledge of the Northern Territory, said today: “Much as I would like to see the territory adequately populated, I see little prospect of its accomplishment. I do not think any company such as the Government, suggests would have any hope of developing the territory. Candidly, if I were offered the whole of North Australia as a gift on the condition that I worked it, I would refuse it.”
