METHODIST CHURCH

QUARTERLY MEETING,

The circuit quarterly meeting of officials was held at the Methodist Church on Monday night, when the Rev. E. E. Sage presided over a representative attendance. Warm reference was made to the success of the recent "Challenge and Cheer" Mission conducted by Students Goodman and Tozer, of Trinity Methodist College, Auckland. All departments of the church were rejoicing in renewed spiritual vitality, which was also manifested in various parts of the circuit. A committee was appointed to arrange for a men's missionary tea to be held in September in connection with the visit of the Rev. V. Le C. Binet in the interests of missionary work' in the Solomon Islands. Arrangements for a Missionary Pageant and Tableaux' to be presented in the church shortly were reported and endorsed with en-: thusiasm.

In lieu of the anmi.il bazaar, it was decided to seek the support of members and adherents in a prayer and thanksgiving effort to culminate with the church anniversary in October.
