SOME SURPRISE WINS. WELLSFORD AND PAKIRI. Two surprise wins were features of Rugby matches in the Rodney competition on Saturday. Wellsford defeated Puhoi by 3 points to nil, and after a close game at Matakana, Pakiri defeated Matoma by 14 points to 8, Port Albert defeated Maoris, 24—8. Other games resulted:—Juniors: Kaipara Flats 0, beat Port Albert 0; Matoma 5, beat High School 0. Primary Schools. —Port Albert 13, beat Kourawhero —Ivaipara Flats, 0; Warkwofth 3, beat Wayby-Wellsford 0.
