VISIT TO DARGAVILLE. REP. MATCHES ON THURSDAY. There will be no hockey matches played in Whangarei on Thursday next, as both ladies and men’s representative beams will be meeting the Northern Wairoa representatives at Dargaville. It was originally intended to play a men’s A, and B. trial match on Thursday, and to play at Dargaville on the Thursday following, but this arrangement had to be altered as the date did not suit Northern Wairoa, The following men’s rep. team has„ been chosen by Mr R, Dennis, sole selector: — Goal. —Saul. The ladies’ hockey team selected to represent Whangarei will be: — Backs.—R. Abbot, K. Birch, V. Kelly. Halves. —B. Crawford, B. Hawkes, B. Sterling. Forwards, —.1. Stewart, E, Richards, R. Tibbits (captain), K. Pickmere, £. Simons. Reserves. —I. Tucker, ’S. Bercich, T. Sloane, L. Bint. The bus leaves the Post Office at 12.30 p.m. Players to assemble at P.O, at 12.15 p.m. RODNEY COMPETITIONS. - The Rodney Hockey Association matches on Saturday resulted; —-Dome Valley 5, beat Warkworth 3; Kaipan Flats 2, beat Omaha 1; Matakana 4, beat Port Albert 2. Dome Valley strengthened its position as the leading team by defeating the second team, Warkworth, Dome Valley has won every match this season. The ladies’ matches resulted: —'Port Albert 4, beat Matakana 0; Kaipava Flats defaulted to Wellsford. This concluded the competition for the Murdoch Cup, which has been won by Matakana,
