Taylor, on the Aving, was probably Hilvurangi’s star man, and notched some splendid tries, all the result of speedy and determined running. E. O’Callaghan and Ha/.cU Avere a fine braeo of forwards and always in the limelight. Whaka-Waro A, avlio disputed the final with Hikurangi, were another splendid seven. They owed their successes mainly to the sterling efforts of C. White, on the wing. In every game White Avas outstanding ami repeatedly figured in scoring dashes that covered half the length of the held. This was the tit-bit of the day's sport, and had the crowd on its toes. Onerahi’s best were Cunis, Beasley and Holm, although all played good football. Lor Kamo, T. Jones, Taylor, Tanlari and the two Thorburn brothers were most noticeable, but here again the team, as a unit Avas good.
