BIG CONVERSIONS PENDING. (Received 11 a.m.) .; •.. A MELBOURNE, This Day. Large ‘ conversions of Australian, loans in London is expected , before September. In this expectation, no discussion on overseas indebtedness took place at the meeting of the Loan Council. The Premier of Victoria,V-Sir Stanley , Argyle, submitted a proposal that 50 per cent of the sinking fund payments, amounting to £7,000,000, should be waived for one year.
