A preliminary inquiry was hold yesterday into the circumstances in which the trawler South Sea grazed a roek when entering Wellington Heads early on Monday morning. Evidence from the inquiry is being considered by the Marine Department. Conditions were murky when the trawler struck the rock. By going astern she got clear, and it avms found that she was not leaking.
