WOMEN’S CIVIC LEAGUE

ANNUAL MEETING

Tlk*. animal meeting of tin 1 League was held in the Salvation Army Hall. Mrs Stewart Wright, president, took the chair.

In her report the secretary, Miss A. .T. Oreville, stated that a year of steady progress had been made, and that, in spite of the prevailing depression, tlm league was still holding its own and continuing to play an active part in all matters pertaining to civic welfare.

Mrs Wright briefly thanked the members and executive officers for their loyal support during the year, and said that she looked forward to another year of good work and a further expansion of the league's activities. The treasurer, Mrs Allen, reported u satisfactory credit balance of severe l pounds.

The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows; —President, Mrs -Stewart Wright; vice-presi-dents, Mesdaines Ackhurst, VentrySmith and Jones; secretary, Miss A. J. Oreville; treasurer, Mrs Allen; executive committee, Mesdames Barclay, Dreaver, Evans, Foster, Hore, Lama re, Reed, Tudohope, Yentry-Smith and Miss W. Cathie.
