CONFERENCE ENDS. UNEMPLOYED IN PRISON. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Labour Party’s annual conference ended yesterday with the adoption of the report of the policy committee and the following resolutions: “That the conference protest against the Unemployment Board calculating pensions as a part of income when determining the right of any of a family to be given employment under the board’s regulations; that the conference expresses sincere sympathy with the unemployed workers now in prison and their wives and families, and strongly urges on the Government that they should be released.”
