The Labour Party’s annual conference ended yesterday with the adoption of the report of the policy committee and the following resolutions: “That the conference protest against the Unemployment Board calculating pensions as a part of income when determining the right of any of a family to be given employment under the board’s regulations; that the conference expresses sincere sympathy with the unemployed workers now in prison and their wives and families, and strongly urges on the Government that they should be released.”
