HURRIED ESCAPE

A fire in a storeroom owned by Mr Harp, , fancy goods dealer in Cuba Street, destroyed the greater part of the contents of one room and damaged goods in the shop below. Firemen fought the flames and lease smohe for some time. Efforts to stop the tire reaching the top floor proved successful. On this floor a large quantity of Paramount films were stored.

A man employed cutting films, and a woman cleaner and her child, made a hurried escape from the upper storey, running along a balcony to a cabaret next door.
