WOMAN’S SUICIDE

The inquest touching- the death of Mrs Isabel Duggan, aged (id, a visitor from Central Otago, whose body was found floating Ju the harbour in St. Mary's Bay on Saturday morning, was concluded by Air Wvvern Wilson, S.M., this morning. Fvidence was given by her 'sister that Mrs Duggan came from Central Otago to stay with relatives in London Street, Ponsonby, hoping that (lie change would benefit her health. She had improved in health since she came to Auckland, although she had bet'ii depressed at times. On Saturday, Mrs Duggan appeared to be in better spirits, and at 11 a.m. she said she was going for a walk on the lawn. Shortly afterwards she was found to be missing. About noon her-body was found in St. Marv's Bay.
After hearing medical evidence, the coroner returned a verdict that death was the result of suicide by drowning while deceased was mentally depressed through illness.
