“WE STAND WITH RUSSIA”
BRITISH I.L.P. GENERAL STRIKE URGED. (Received 9.fio a.m.) LONDON, April .17. The annual conference of the Independent Labour Party at Derby has unanimously resolved to do all in its power to resist any attempt to strangle the progress of the’ Soviet. ■ The conference' further pledged the party to : agitate for a. general strike and to restrain the British Government in the event of any attempt to make Avar on Russia.
Mr. Fenner BroekAvay, the chairman, supporting this attitude, said: “Wo shall make it perfectly clear that avc stand openly Avith Russia against our Government. ”
