SHEEP DOG TRIALS
WHANGAREI CLUB FIXTURE.
TOMORROW AND THURSDAY.
Tho Whangarei Club’s annual competition tests of the calibre of sheep dogs will be conducted at Mr D. J. Finlayson’s paddocks near Kamo tomorrow and on Thursday, under the rules of the North Island Sheep Dog • Trials Association, and all the ap- 1 pointments are in complete readiness lor this popular occasion.) Continuance of good weather is the only other requisite to the success of this very interesting and insti'uctive .fixture, which also provides a picnic outing for the people of Whangarei and district, the venue being within easy* reach. The events comprise long head, short head and yard, and huntaway, with the 1 acceptance of post entries. The usual monetary prizes, valuable cups and trophies are made available to competitive owners, and refreshments will be provided by the Ladies ’ Committee, so that these inducements to rivalry and general patron-'-' , ago should result in a largo attend; anee." ■ .
