The mar-! ket was fair where finer sorts were concerned, duo to brisk competition between French, German and Japanese representatives, the last-named bidding vigorously for average to good top-making wools. Mr E. Jopp, of Moutere Station, Chatto Creek, secured top price ot the market for the second year in succession, with choice lots of extra sillier merino, whicli realised over 1/ a pound.
