The chief feature in the latest trading h.-is been a better demand fur Gov ei-nmenl 54 per cent stocks, whi'-h. with latest sales til £OO. show an anpi ei-iatinn of £1 10' in the las: ten days. In the banking section; buyers came in for Xew South Wales and Enion. but (heir limits were marked well down to £25 for the former and £0 12/(5 for the latter. For Xew Z-ea-hinds £2 was the best bid. Colonial Sugars were easier, with sellers at £4(l 7/0. Wailiis were steady with holders raising hotr reserves lo King •Solomons were on offer at 2/8, Thor were no quotations for I per cent Government stock. Noon Call, The following sales were recorded at the noon call; —Bank of New South Wales £2O, Alt. Lycll 18/4.
