BIG LINER
MAY VISIT AUCKLAND. (Special to “Northern Advocate.*’) AUCKLAND, This Day. Although no definite information is I available, it is possible the Cunar.l liner Mauretania will visit Auckland next year in the course of a -world cruise. The owners of the vessel have recently been making inquiries as to the port facilities at Auckland. The Mauretania’s gross tonnage is 30,090, compared with the 20,277 tons of the Corinthia, the largest passenger ship which has yet visited Auckland, although the warship Hood, which was here in 1924, is 42,000 tons.
