NET REVENUE GAIN. (Prom Our Parliamentary Special.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. In the four weeks ended Octobcn* 15 the net revenue of (he railways improved by £7500 compared with the corresponding four weeks of last year, said the acting-general manager, Mr G. H. Macklcy, in a statement today. This, added to previous gains, made a total improvement of £72,400 in net revenue for the financial year to date.
Compared with last year’s retinas for the corresponding term, the total revenue since April ! has been £3,031,• 02-1, and total expenditure £2,790,580, showing a not revenue of £241,044, compared with £108,044 in the lirst 28 weeks of last financial year.
Although the gross revenue In the last four weeks fell by £25,000, expenditure was reduced by £32,000, resulting in the not gain of over £7OOO.
