On the grass at Flemington this morning Mulera ran a mile in 1.46.]. Chatham did the best three furlongs in 37sec, the first two taking 241 sec. Manawhenua and Horowhenua covered three furlongs in 39sec. Admiral Drake beat Vyehan over ten furlongs in 2.151. Shadow King ran eleven furlongs in 2.37. Spontoon and Walter Scott assisted over the last mile which took 1.50). Shadow King ran his last six furlongs in 1.22. Loughneagh did the best two furlongs in 24:1. Compromise strode over a furlong in 131. Tlowford and Cassiopeia ran a. mile in 1.48. At Caulfield, on the sand, Lady Pam and Actaeon covered seven furlongs in 1.34.
