DISOBEDIENCE CAMPAIGN RAPIDLY BREAKING UP. GANDHI STILL IMMURED, (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received 9 a.m.) CALCUTTA, October 27. The Viceroy of India, Viscount Wil lingdon, in reply to a letter from Maulana All, a prominent Moslem leader, reiterated the Government’s intention of not releasing Gandhi, the Indian Nationalist leader, till ho dissociates himself from the civil disobedience movement. N lt is generally recognised that the disobedience campaign is dying under the firm handling of the Government. Although tjhe Nationalist press pretend that there are still 60,000 Congressmen in prison throughout India, the actual figure is 19,000, and that is rapidly falling. The majority of those released arc refraining from returning to their old ways.
