Even for a Saturday which rarely finds activity on the local Stock Exchange, proceedings wore especially quiet at this morning’s call. The only sale recorded was one of Government stocks held over from yesterday. Bidding in the banking section was particularly dull. Australasias were weak, with sellers at £lO and.no buyers, and Unions were available at £7 17/. For New Zealands the best offer was £2 5/.

Insurances were steady and buyers for South British, ex-dividend, advanced lid to £2 1(5/9.

Goldsbrongb Alorts were offered 3d lower sit £1 4/, smd si parcel of River Plato was available at £1 3/. New Zealand Refrigerating (eon.) .esisod further, with sellers at 2/7. Government stocks were unchanged.
