WAIHI OPERATIONS. FOUR-WEEKLY RETURN. (Special to "Northern Advocate.’’) WAIHI, This Day. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Goldmining Co., Ltd. For the four-weekly period ended October 15, 10,-158 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 5,459 line ounces of gold and 2K,592 fine ounces of silver. This includes 2,007 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 9U! ounces of gold and 6,965 ounces of S’.lver. All mining and milling operations were suspended for the first three days of the period. No. 3 Level. —“Martha lode; Driving west the next 28 feet assayed 15/- a ton.

Junction, No. 0 Level. —Martha lode; (Driving west has been commenced at 41 feet up the Slevin rise, and the first twelve feet assays 52/fi a. ton. No. 11 Level—Reef at 24 feet in crosscut; at 55 feet east of Bath Crosscut we have driven to the west on this IS feet, the assay value being--59/J per ton; the drive has holed to former workings. Eastward we have driven 24 feet, the assay value over this length being 60/3 per ton. The width of the reef varies from four feet to a width greater than the drive. No. 11 Level, 38 feet sub-level. —Empire lode, north section: Sinking winze, the next 20 feet assays 20/6 a ton. No. 12 Level. —Martha lode: Driving west the next 16 feet assays 32/3 a ton, and the next 27 feet, 13/3 a ton. Have holed through to former workings. KING SOLOMON DEEP LEAD. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. King Solomon Deep Lead Mine (Gore) reports a wash-up of 71 ounces 10 pennyweights for five days ’ work. Golden Dawn Yield. Golden Dawn Mines, Ltd., report that for the twelve -working days ended October 22 a total of 422 tons of ore -was treated for a return of £77S, based on gold valued at £4 an ounce.
