Tlio Dominion Executive of the Farmers ’ Union carried a remit yesterday that the Prime Minister and Minister of Native Affairs be approached and urged that all tenants of native leasehold properties bo treated in a similar manner to lessees on European lands.

ft was decided to make an emphatic protest to the Native Trustee against the excessive costs of renewal of leases recently issued in respect of lands on native reserves.

The following remits were also adopted:— That the Government be asked to reinstate the 12 per cent, rebate on county rates.

That (he principle of voting which applies to comity councils apply also to the |>ower board elections.

That in regard to reducing land valuations, the Government be asked to pass legislation permitting a, percentage reduction on the last valuation of the county.
