REQUEST BY BETA ILEUS. (.Special to “Northern Advocate.’’) HAMILTON, Thursday. A request, asking whether it was possible to make tentative arrangements with the Cambridge abattoirs, or to obtain permission to kill privately, subject to inspection in theshops, was made by tbc South Auckland Butchers’ Association to the Hamilton Borough Council hist ovening. It was stated that only two foremen butchers were killing at the Horotiu freezing works as a result of the strike, and it: they ceased work the town supply -would fail. Mr F. If. Clapham expressed a desire for something more authoritative. The Mayor, Hr. F. I). Pinfold, said the freezing company had told the council that supplies were assured. The letter was reebived.
