MERITS OF FASCISM

\r MUSSOLINI BOAST

NEW ITALY CREATED,

PERMANENCE ASSURED,

{United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, October 27.

The Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini, in an article published in the “Daily Telegraph" on “Ten Years of Fascism,’’ says: “The regime is not satisfied with the mere making of laws. It has a deeper responsibility. It has permeated the people and created an epoch in Italian history, the influence of which will be felt by succeeding generations. But if we wanted to make a moral balancesheet, it would have been sufficient to point to the increase in our wheat production by 75,151,000 quintals, thus raising the yield from four to six quintals an acre. We could say that wo have madd Italy almost independent of foreign wheat. “We could enumerate vast public works and great reforms. We have no strikes, but a producing, industrious working class. There is not a single State in the world that can point to equal achievements. “Fascism is destined to live, and it is a living spirit like the spirit of Cromwell and Washington."
