KAMO LEAGUE CLUB
PRESENTATION OF -TROPHIES. . FUNCTION LAST EVENING. : The Kamo Rugby .League Club held their annual ball in the Blue Dragon Cabaret last evening, when occasion was taken to present the trophies and caps won by the local teams during the season. Mr R. Welham, president of the club, handed the Davidson Cup to Mr A. Rice, captain of the championship winners, remarking that this, was the second year in succession that the Kamo players had annexed this trophy. Mr Welham also presented the seven-a-side cups td the junior representatives and the third-grade medals to the, victorious Kamo side. This was followed .by the presentation by Mr Hooper, of the beautiful caps, donated by Mr ,T. Mbrran, to the respective members of the champion team. Mr Hooper spoke of the keen interest' manifested by the donor in the Kamo Club, remarking that Mr Morran was undoubtedly the mainstay of their club. On behalf of the team, Mr C. Lenne thanked the donor, and three hearty cheers were given for him by the combined team. A full account of the ball will appear in tomorrow's social news.
