(Per Press Association.—Copyright.) WANGANUI, This Day. The Wanganui tracks iverc in splendid order yesterday, the going ueing very fast for this season of the year, owing to the spell of dry weather. Before breakfast yesterday morning W. Raynor gave Midinette a good working gallop over a circuit on the course proper, wide out, and -the filly hit out freely. She promises to strip very ft for the Avondale meeting, at which she will make her first appearance for the season. Ganpat and Grand Joy were associated over four furlongs, in which the former finished about a length ahead in 51s —a good gallop. Ganpat looks aIL the better for his race at Marton, and he should run a good race in the Dune Hack next Thursday, in which he is to = bo ridden by E. Keesing. Linoleum and Pomp were sent five furlongs together, but were not extended to register 1.6 4-ss, with Pomp going particularly well. The two-year-oids, Widden : and Spiral, were given a run over three furlongs, which occupied 395, Widden was going very nicely, but neither was doing his best. After breakfast Head Lady left five furlongs behind comfortably in 1.6, the last half-mile taking 525. The two-year-old, Midian, hopped off at the six-furlong peg with Gold Gleam, and they ran half a mile in 535, the first quarter in 255. Midian ■was then pulled up, Gold Gleam running to the six-furlong peg in 1.20. Bold Baron and Jackplano slipped over two furlongs in 265, finishing, together. Bold Baron hit out in fine style, but it will be some time'Jie'fore he is ready to show his true quality, though he is engaged in the Debutante Stakes. The Lysander—Bronze filly, Rust, was given a run over three furlongs, which she cut out in 39 4-ss, without being bustled. Rust is engaged in the Debutante Stakes, in which Mr George Currie also has Spiral engaged. The latter is not being hurried in his prep .a rati on, but he should be in gooc shape for the Avondale meeting. TE KXJITI RACING CLXTE. LOSS ON YEAR’S WORTtING. AMALGAMATION SOUGHT.
