HUSBAND’S ALLEGATION. NOT TOLD OF OPERATION. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) DUNEDIN, This Day. An allegation that the Dunedin Hospital authorities had not advised him until after the dhath of his wdfe that an operation was being conducted, was made at the inquest yesterday by the. husband .. of Clara L. Fletcher, • of Palmerston, who died in the operating theatre on April 27. The coroner adjourned the inquest until Friday to allow the medical superintendent an opportunity to reply to the allegation. The coroner sdid it was distressing that the husband was informed on the previous night that yiie operation might not be carried out immediately, and that he was at the hospital when the operation w r as actually taking place. The husband stated that he had left two telephone numbers at the hospital, but the only communication to reach him was the advice of his wife’s death.
