REQUEST BY FARMERS,

C. E, Macmillan, yesterday, by a deputation representing the Wairarapa Provincial ■ Executive of the Farmers’ Union.

It was stated that the loan could, be arranged on q, business footing : ; without cost to the State, and that it . ' would be repayable out of cream . .. cheques next season. . Mr. Macmillan promised to approach, the nccessaiy authorities with: a view to assisting as soon as possible. , ■
