The Federal Farm Board has taken drastic steps to stabilise cotton prices. It has telegraphed to the 14 Governors of the cottonrproducing States, urging them to give a lead to the movement to abandon much of the cotton now growing, and thus to eliminate the excess which threatens a direct disaster to the cotton-growing States.
