Tins is the first time since full exemption has been in operation at Wimbledon in the men’s singles that two Englishmen have been among the select eight. In the women’s singles the exempted players comprise Miss Nuthall, Miss Mudford and Mrs Whittingstall (Britain), Franlien Aussem and Fraulien Krahwinkel (Germany), Madame Mathieu (France), Miss Jacobs (America) and Signorita de Alvarez (Spain). (Received 11 a.m.) RUGBY, June 18. In the second day’s play of the women’s international lawn tennis match against Franco, at Eastbourne, Britain again won all the singles and doubles matches. During the two days’ encounter Britain won by 12 matches to love.
