GAS HEATER EXPLOSION

MISS LE GALLTENNE SUFFERS. (Received 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 13. A message from Weston, Connecticut, states that Eva Le Gallienne, founder, director and leading lady of New York’s famous Civic Repertory Theatre, Josephine Hutchinson, a member of her company, and a maid, were burned as a result of an explosion of a gas heater at Miss Le Gallienne's country home. Miss Le Galliennc was attempting to heat some water in order to give her dog a bath. She was removed to hospital, where she must remain for a lengthy period. It is feared that she will be scarred from the serious burns on her face and body.
